If you were near the Walgreens in Brownstown on December 10th, you probably heard them before you saw them. About fifteen members of Huron High Schools Interact Club, rang bells for the Salvation Army – and sang loudly for all to hear! Bell ringing is just one of the many public service activities in which this club participates. Every year, Interact volunteers at a local pre-school and nursing home. They also assist the Goodfellows with their newspaper sales and basket distributions.  In addition, there are the many “little” things that really add up to help out local families as well as people in other countries. There are book drives for Detroit elementary students, school supply collections for a school Rotary built in Honduras and fundraisers for local charities. Huron’s Interact Club has about 40 active members.  Anyone can join. If students want to learn more, they can stop by at the next meeting in Mrs. Melnychenko’s room.
