In Huron Township we are very active with our main fund-raiser, the annual raffle of a brand new Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle and trailer. This raffle is one of the main attractions at the Applefest.
Through major donations and the sale of commemorative brick pavers we have funded the rehabilitation and rededication of the Veteran’s Monument in downtown New Boston.
We do incidental fund-raisers from time to time for special projects throughout the year.
We are the club that coordinates Goodfellows for Huron Township. This effort services 100-150 families a year ensuring that we have no child without a Christmas.
We are ”Goodfellows all year round,” responding to special needs as they arise throughout the community.
We are especially proud of our newly formed Interact Club, a high school version of Rotary.
We award 10-12 scholarships to graduates annually that amount to $7500 minimally.
We have chartered a Boy Scout troop an help to support another, and chartered a Girl Scout troop.
We also chartered the Outdoor Challenge program at the high school.
We work with our local Police and Fire Explorers organizations.
We make annual contributions to all our school libraries and support the public library.
